Calling all Armitage admirers...
My blogging buddy Dezmond at Hollywood Spy is holding a
"Favorite TV Hunks" poll on his site. I told him if he listed Richard as a contender, the RA fans would come flooding in to vote for our man. So cast your vote for RA! You can vote multiple times (at least daily, I believe) so be sure to vote as much as possible because
a) Richard is the best TV hunk by far, right?
b) I want to prove to Dez that RA fans are the most loyal bunch out
there and c) not to be disrespectful to the other candidates,
but we need to blow them out of the water!!!

Just voted, and our man is kicking butt! he has an overwhelming majority with the next guy having 7 votes. Oh ladies! I think we can ensure that our man wins. But I must ask, like iz4spunk, how on earth did RA land in that group of actors?
ReplyDeletePlus, I may be in the minority here, but I don't think that pic of RA does him justice at all. I think it's an older pic. I'm convinced if we had a nice pic of him as our favorite bad guy Guy, in all his black leather glory, *thud*, even Americans who never even heard of him would vote for him. But as it is, our little dedicated group is on a serious mission here, and I have every confidence that this "A-team" will make sure Mr.A gets the recognition he deserves, hee! hee!

ReplyDeleteThanks for the heads up on this. I've done my delightful duty and will continue to do so on a daily basis. I wasn't even tempted to glance at the other candidates.
That picture is old, from Cold Feet in 2003 when Richard played Lee, the flirty-girty life guard.
BTW, in an article in today's UK Daily Mail, the journalist Jan Moir bemoans the fact that speedos are back in fashion. She might be tempted to change her mind if she had seen Lee in his budgie-smugglers!

Agree not keen on the picture, but I've voted (twice so far). Isn't it a bit unfair to inflict the fandom on that poll though? Or are you proving a point? Sorry I don't know who any of those other guys are (not being American y'see). But I expect that most Americans wouldn't know who Mr A is either.

The only other actor I had heard of on that list was Patrick Dempsey. I loved him in "Enchanted" with Amy Adams. I figured he was worth one vote. The AVON company has even designed a signature men's cologne for him!

@Phylly3, regarding Patrick Dempsey and the cologne at AVON, IIRC, his wife is a stylist and she works or at least did work once upon a time for AVON. So that might explain that connection.
And sorry, I'm not a speedos fan :)
