Richard Armitage is a British actor who was born in Leicester on Aug. 22, 1971. He is the 2nd son of Margaret, a secretary, and John, an engineer. He attended Pattison College in Binley Road, Coventry, and studied at LAMDA (the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art). Richard's popularity is spreading across the world thanks to his acting talent and gorgeous good looks that just get better with age. He is most famous for his roles in British TV, such as: John Thornton in "North & South," Sir Guy of Gisborne in "Robin Hood," Harry Kennedy in "The Vicar of Dibley," Lucas North in "Spooks," and John Porter in "Strike Back." He has also appeared in many other films, most made for TV.

Haww. I want to fiddle with those sideburns.
Never really enjoyed sideburns, but then along came 1995 and Mr. Darcy... and now they can be quite nice to behold.
I still can't stand sideburns on anyone except Richard Armitage. On anyone else that I've seen them, it makes them look like a yahoo.
Same thing with the mullet. I HATE that cut. But he's borderline mullet at times in Robin Hood, and it actually looks good.
