It's what we've been waiting for...
once again seeing Mr. Armitage in a tux!
This is the only picture I've found so far.
(I'll add more later as they appear online.)
(I'll add more later as they appear online.)
It has been reported on various sites/forums that
Richard presented the award for
Best Supporting Actress to Rebecca Hall.
Best Supporting Actress to Rebecca Hall.

I particularly liked these:
Another update!
The lovely tux shots just keep commin'!
These have to be my favorite of the night (so far):
Does Richard know how to rock a tux or what!?
(I know it's hard, but please try not to drool

He looks lovely :)
There are some more shots on http://allthingsrarmitage.blogspot.com/ (ricrar's blot)
While I tend not to be a fan of the tux with bowtie (prefer full tie with tux)- My goodness RA makes it work! **squee**
Hey Nat,
Thanks for the updates...you are doing a great job. I love to read your blog - it is very unique and enjoyable with your awesome sense of humor. Reading this blog is a daily activity for me now :)
RA looks ever so dashing in tux - am waiting for some more pics and may be a video (asking for too much???) :P
After i started reading your blog - I fell in love with SFR - he is soooooo very adorable :) almost as good as the real one (well sometimes its hard to say - who is better, SFR or RA)any adventures featuring him coming anytime soon? :)Can you please do some more - guess the scene - with SFR?
Keep up the good work :)
love
MG
btw is possible he looks even BETTER this year in the tux than last year.... YUP guess so!
Natalie,
If you end up with several of the same comments from me, it's because I was dazed from these pictures and forgot how to hit send! :D
Could he be more adorable?
Good thing he is not wearing glasses - I think I would totally lose my mind (as I have a thing for guys in glasses)...swooning over the pinstripes...
and the audience shot with him & MR laughing...lovely
Next year I may have to apply as a seat-filler for the BAFTAS...
Definitely rocks a tux! And, uh, how old am I?
Can't get enough of these pictures. LOL!
Oh, thank you for posting more pics!
You can really see the pinstripes on the tux now in the close-ups...and I love his hair this year! I love a man in a tux..not to mention RA in a tux! He's a beautiful man :)
Either he's learning or someone got hold of him because his hair and tux look much better this year than '07 and '09. I love that hair too!!
I guess this is the JP cut just a little longer, and I love the JP cut.
perfect lovely and beautiful man!! just like a Blue and charming prince with eyes like two blue diamonds, and teeth like pearls and voice like...the music of God!
THANX NAT!!
So glad that I obsessively check this site. So many new pics to gawk at.
Thanks so much for the pics Nat! Echoing mg's thoughts here, anyone know of any videos online from the BAFTAs?
And who is Rebecca Hall? What does she star in?
And the person sitting next to him in the audience pic looks like Miranda Raison from Spooks to me. Does anyone know who it is or is she just a seat filler and my eyes are deceiving me?
@Chic Popcorn, I love the "voice like...the music of God!" As much I appreciate his striking figure, I have to say that the voice does it for me every time. It just makes him so dashing to me :)
BTW, why on earth is BBCAmerica showing reruns of Gordon Ramsay's kitchen nightmares and Star Trek (that's American for goodness sake) when they could have shown us the BAFTAs too? Sometimes I don't know why I pay for that channel!
Thanks for the updated pics Nat! You are so dedicated, we appreciate it :) I noticed one thing, it seems like RA carried the award with him to the podium before handing it out. If so, that is different than the award shows here in the US, where some young model-type woman carries the award out to the stage and the presenter just walks right out and reads the nominees and the winner. It just looked odd to me that he was carrying the award out.
That last picture shows off his beautiful features to perfection. What a dreamboat. Now off to work! Sorry, kids, your teach is daydreaming ... again! (I'll blame it on Monday morning!)
I am sooo lovin' those pictures!
ooh oooh oooh - the last pic is sooooo drool-worthy - :) cant help - ohhh those eyes.... :)
thanks a ton Nat for your dedication
Watched the BAFTA's and Richard last night. He looked HOT!!! Loved the dickie bow (is that a clip-on do you think, well who cares?)
He was actually sitting next to Miranda Raison in the audience, the actress from Spooks, who also presented an award but it wasn't shown, just got a brief clip at the end of the show.
He looked happy and relaxed I thought. I like the side fringe, much better than swept back from his forehead.
love those pictures, thank you Nat. I think my 2 favourites is the last shot, something about the look in his eyes and the audience shot.
Thanks for the pics Nat. OMG that last pic, could his eyes look even more stunning? *speechless*

Oh Nat your poll is really tricky, yes he does look so polished this year, perfect infact, but to choose................
By the way he didn't have a partner with him on stage,he was alone, why didn't they phone me. :D
can't type because i have passed out and i am laying on the floor.
the picy of him getting out of the car...is like a james blond photo. good god.
@Nat,
I commend you for not passing out while posting all of these lovely pics, and I agree with several others that the last one is fantastic. His eyes! Thanks for posting.
I guess I wasn't done fangurling yesterday. This might go on all week at this rate.
AH! your eyes are my downfall, as it takes my breath away ... and I need a moment to recover. UF! Here in Argentina is very cold, but seeing these pictures I think I'm sweating, and believe me I am away from the heating!
is the woman sitting nxt to him, his date? is it the same woman from the theater premiere a few months back?
That is Miranda Raison, who starred as "Jo" in Spooks until early in series 8.
And no, she is not the same woman from the theatre premiere months ago.
Wauw! I'm stunned and fumbling on my keyboard...thanx for the great collection of shots...I think I will dream well tonight...night,night...sleep tight

Thank you tehi08. I love that she said "Richard Armitage presenting at BAFTAs with the non necessary bits removed." As in "everything other than RA is dispensable." LOL
Thanks so much for posting the video link! I so appreciate it!
Now I have a very dopey question: I notice that RA seems to have stubble pretty much all the time. Now is that because he prefers not to have a close shave or is it because he's just someone who has a 5 o'clock shadow by noon? Just wondering :)
@ Twinling moon ohhh I'm glad you brought this up, I've wondered about this too! I assumed it was because he knows he looks drop dead amazingly gorgeous with the stubble but I never considered that maybe he just has a 5 o'clock shadow at noon as you say....and if its the latter WHOA YES!!!
I think this is because in truth he's a slimy green alien and if he takes human form he can have any amount of stubble he chooses to have.
Or he always shaves in the evening to have nice stubble the next morning. After all he's an actor has to to be aware of continuity problems. Or he uses a device to maintain designer stubble.
Continuity issues are a factor, men not liking to shave in general is probably also a factor.
But in this instance I think there is also some intent involved. RA's jawline is actually rather softly defined and sloping (you can see in the pics of John Standering and Harry Kennedy to the right). The stubble gives his jawline more definition and makes it look more square.
Looking at more pictures his jaw is more rounded, but the stubble serves the same purpose.
@anon1 - slimy green alien? Hmm that accounts for him being "out of this world!!!" LOL "Device to maintain designer stubble" double LOL
@anon2 - good point about defining his jawline - and let me say it definitely works for me :)
There are beard trimmers that can be set very low and many electric razors (most of which leave stubble anyway) are also adjustable or have adjustable beard trimmers attached. One can also use a professional electric hair trimmer.
P.S. Even if he was a slimy green alien, I would still want to have my filthy way with him.
@Sandra, I'm so glad I am not the only one who has wondered about this, makes me feel less kooky for contemplating such things, LOL!
some people just look dirty to me when they don't shave properly, it's like they couldn't be bothered to clean up in the morning, and then I begin to wonder "Dear Lord! Please tell me you've at least brushed your teeth!", LOL! But I think RA can pull off the stubble without looking like a total mess,
As for continuity issues raised by all the anonynmouses, good point! But I always wondered, like on LOST, how is it that a man's beard never seems to grow but is stuck at this level of stubble? Oh well! Whatever the answer to this mystery, it works for RA!
BTW, I can't remember if he had such stubble as Thornton. I'm sure, however, that you ladies can remind me :)
@anon - you're killing me with the alien thing LOLOLOLOL!!!!
@TwinklingMoon no need to feel kooky I think that's why we're all here ...to feed our (my) obsession...I mean our admiration :)
Shall we talk about eyebrows next?
Does he color his eyebrows? In these BAFTA pics the eyebrows look fairly dark. Other times in Strike Back they look much lighter, is this just lighting or coloring?
I agree that the stubble together with the black hair and the sideburns do a lot for him in comparison to how he looked a few years ago. Actually all remains of JT/N&S.
I think the stubble looks so good because there is a very clear line between the stubble and the skin of his cheeks while with other men it somehow grows close to the cheekbones with no defined border and that creates the dirty and untidy look.
Uhm, and I think they dye his eyebrows as Lucas.
The red carpet photos are are the Russian Fan Site...two are in HD:
what do we think of the pinstripped tux ladies???? it is a very bold tux. don't ya think?
@Sandra, yeah, the eyebrow thing I've been wondering about for awhile too! The thing is, they are a few shades lighter than his hair. I actually think they are his natural color but his head of hair is dyed darker. I think his own hair is like what we saw when he played Monet or that Cold Feet or BTS character, which is more auburn like in tone. That would explain his eyebrows.
Poor man! I love him to pieces and here I am contemplating his eyebrow shade...what the heck is wrong with me??? I'll take him with auburn eyebrows, black eyebrows, or no eyebrows at all :)
@Rob, yes, the tux caught my eye too! I don't know anything about fashion, are pinstripes in? I actually thought the host wore a rather "jazzy" suit. I found it distracting from what I saw in the clips.
for the record i L-O-V-E the tux!!!
@TM it appears that his hair was recently colored and he colors it for certain roles, maybe going grey??? so that maybe why the eyebrows seem like a diff shade.
@Rob, yeah, I'm sure there is some sort of coloring mismatch going on here. And some of the stubble does look grayish to me, but I like it all the same :)
