Look-a-Like ~ Curiouser and Curiouser!

This may sound crazy, but I think "The Man in the Yellow Hat" is handsome for a cartoon character.  This morning, while my boys were "building the tallest lego tower in the whole wide world" and watching Curious George, I couldn't help but notice... the oval face, the dark hair, the pointy nose, the long legs and arms... The Man in the Yellow Hat could pass for a Richard look-a-like!!!  No wonder I think he's an attractive cartoon character.  (He could really use some sideburns, though... and switch from yellow to black.)  Yet once again, I sound like a nutcase. :)

If this makes you a nutcase, then I'm one too because I can totally see where you're coming from with this! LOL!

Okay maybe you are right - he does look a little bit like RA, but I always thought of him as an irresponsible adult, because he never keeps an eye on George:) . I cant help it, but it always pops up , when we read og watch the stories. Thats crazy too, I know:)

LOL... Nat you are the greatest. I don't think this would have ever come to mind, in fact I was just reading Curious George (who I have adored since I was a child) to my little girl the other day!

Yet that being said.. YOU HAVE A POINT! I don't think I will look at "The man in the yellow hat" the same again. I can just hear it now... "Mommy, I don't want to read Curious George AGAIN tonight!" LOL

It's ALL your fault Nat! LOL LOL

The Man in the Yellow Hat would be so much hotter if he had a British accent like Richard. :)

Oh yeah, I'll hear it that way next time I read this story.

Wonder if we could get him to read this like, you know, Jesse Jackson read Green Eggs and Ham -- only this would be a thousand times better.

I can see the resemblance between RA and the "yellow-man." Ok, i haven't seen the show or read the book in forever, so I am wondering, does he have a name or can we just call him "Richard," LOL!

Yes,yes I see it. Again, very similar to the pics of Richard where he is wearing the (I know this is controversial) dreadful red cardigan :D :D :D.

I see it too!

I think I'll join you on the 'Nuts club' because the instant I read 'switch from yellow to black' like as it was something to watch on TV, I could see the yellow switch into black and so the resemblance even better, although he's too smiley :P.

OML :)

Nat, have to say I have been visiting your blog for a goodly few months and now log-in daily to see if you've added another giggle-moment. You are indeed quite nuts, but then so are we that log on! We are all 'normal' in our nutty RA obsessed world. Have laughed loads at many scribblings from you, keep up the good work! Love all the music too btw. Kate

Hi Nat, Great minds think alike. Just this week while my boys were watching "Curious George" on PBS, I noticed how the Man with the Yellow Hat looks like Richard. Imagine this....maybe we could ask Richard to do a voice over for the Man with the Yellow Hat !!! I would definitely buy that DVD !!

Hope all is well with you and your family. Have a great weekend !!

Gosh, Nat, I'm glad you said it first because I noticed it too and thought i needed treatment -- soon!

Here is me just hoping my kids won't notice 'cause they might too!

Good thing they've outgrown the series and we only have one book around the house!
