I'm especially fond of the 1st, 2nd & 3rd place winners
and therefore happy to see them take the top honors.
I was surprised to see Jonas Armstrong get as many votes as he did...

are there Team Hood lurkers out there? :)

Here are a few former co-stars we will
see working beside RA again
in "Strike Back,"
the 6-part mini series to be aired in 2010:

Ewen Bremner (Baisley in Spooks)  will be playing Gerald Baxter

(Ros, wearing her black leather jacket, was annoyed to be left out of the last post.)

David Harewood (Tuck in Robin Hood) will play Tshuma.

Toby Stephens (Prince John in Robin Hood) will be playing Arlington.

So those of you who voted for TS... your wish will soon be granted!
I enjoy Toby Stephen's work.  If you haven't already, I recommend viewing

the 2006 version of "Jane Eyre" and "The Tenant of Wildfell Hall." Swoon-worthy!
(His Prince John character doesn't show Toby's romantic potential,
although I do like his over-the-top portrayal.)

YEAH.. I was so excited to see this pole pop up!!

I voted for Brendan. Mainly because I love to see both RA and Brendan act (Brendan is amazing in Lark Rise to Candleford as well) As a rule, usually when the word chemistry is used in filming it is between male and females. Yet there was an amazing connection between RA and Brendan in N&S. Even RA acknowledged that he had done some of his best acting to date with the lead actors in N&S and Brendan was included in that.

I really hope these two get the option to work together again. I wouldn't even mind seeing Brenda caught a episode part in Spooks one day but a full feature would be the best!

Thanks for the poll Nat!!

I agree with you, LB... I thought RA & Brendan had great "manly" chemistry together too. :) I liked him in "Lark Rise to Candleford."

By the way, folks... I forgot to mention this poll was LoriBear's idea! Thanks LB!

Voted for Jonas....I loved the male superiorly between them in Robin Hood. Would love to see an action or epic starring the pair, competing for ranking status.

oh, good! I voted for Coyle too! I thought it might be a minority vote but happy to see that many appreciated the connection these two actors had. I can't explain it, but it came across as a weird manly chemistry of friendship/respect/and each one improving his game to keep up with the other. I haven't seen from lark rise to candleford yet...just saw bit of it on youtube. but it seems like a popular selection.

Great poll idea LoriBear!

I'm so pleased! I found the chemistry between Higgins and JT wonderful to watch. Infact, I enjoyed the scenes between the two men, just as much as those between JT and MH. Possibly, because there was something in Higgins which reminded me of my late father. A proud, caring Yorkshireman.
It would be lovely to see RA and Brendan Coyle act together again.

I'm soo looking forward to Strike Back, even more so now that Prince John is going to join the party. It's gonna be an RA drought until that torrent comes.

My word verification is 'prick'!!

OMG! TS is going to be in Strike Back?! Yay! :D Wishes do come true!

Orla Brady was Cathy in Wuthering Heights '98 and Andrew Lincoln was Edgar Linton in WH '09. :) Oh, and Jodhi May was Anne Taylor/Weston in Emma '09, so it's a few people who've donned period costumes in there.

Aww, I'm looking forward to Strike Back even more now. I mean, before, I was looking forward because of RA, now I know there are more familiar faces to look out for, and of course, TS in particular! Thanks for the heads up! :D

My vote is for Brendan Coyle. I think they had great on screen chemistry in N&S. We definitely need a sequel on that one.
