Can we ever get enough Gisborne fanvids? I'm pretty sure he has inspired more
art/videos than any other RA character... and we lucky fans get to sit back and enjoy it all!

I love this Guy/Allen video by LadySteena. (Thanks to Avalon for bringing it to my attention.)
As if watching this pair of handsome men strut around wasn't enough... she added AC/DC music!

Go Team Leather!
Here's a fun, kick-A Gisborne vid by Kitsunify to enjoy. (Season 3 Gizzy is my fave... uber sexy!)

These are great!
Interesting that Gisbourne strikes such a huge reaction. I'm a great fan of Thornton, too, and Spooks, for various reasons.
But Gisbourne keeps creeping back. Perhaps because, unlike N&S, it was so much less structered? And the impact of the actor simply had a greater impact? Not improv, but adaptation?
Thanks for sharing these vids! The team leather one has me cracking up :)
I do wonder what is says about our psyche that Gisbourne is the one character that has such a huge following. yes, i know, JT is quite popular too, but I find it interesting that even with the show no longer in production, how many fan vids and fics this character has inspired. I have no doubt that it is due to RA's portrayal. Can't imagine the character producing the same kind of fan base with a different actor.
HOW did I miss the Team Leather video?!! Love it! Thanks for posting, Nat.
Thanx for spreading some Gizzy love. The RA fanvids are just so amazing. Making the GoG character larger than life larger than he even played it, totally feeding our imagination. Sure he can take some credit but i think there is a lot of projection involved. Perhaps thats a question i should pose on the other "intellectual" blog. ;)

iz4spunk, are you saying this blog isn't intellectual? I'm curious to know which blog is... since all RA blogs involve a fair amount of swooning in addition to the serious conversation.
I meant it in jest...because of course you are right and we are all darn intellectuals who lose it a bit over RA...
@iz4spunk,
You took the words right out of my mouth (well, except for the "intellectual" comment :)). I love the vid but while watching it I"m thinking, Guy was never like this. All this motion and power...
Still, I Ioved all the Seasons of Guy. I bought Series 2 and 3 without seeing them because I was curious to know what Armitage would do with the character. He did not fail me. This vid is especially apt in showing Guy as someone who has nothing left to lose and his Big Rage against the world. Magnificent. Guy no longer had to suffer abuse, internalise so much and repress his feelings. Very liberating!
Out of all of RA's characters, this one also stays with me more than others. I think it's because Guy had such a huge and eventful arc, and time to develop. And because RA has to be an alchemist to transform something so leaden into pure gold. He gave Guy real life and immortality of a sort.
Eh, I know no one's reading these old comments, but it needed to be said, even if this party's over. :)
