I reckon he'd make a very exciting and dashing James Bond. I get the impression that Richard doesn't entirely like the idea (he mentioned in an interview he likes the Bourne films, starring Matt Damon. I don't like the old Bond movies but the latest ones with Daniel Craig have taken it to a new dimension and are more blood and guts. If Richard were to take over the role (and lets face it I wouldn't rule it out, as Daniel Craig may bow out due to other commitments)he could create a more angst ridden character with a bit more umph. I'm sure he'd enjoy being a bit of a lady killer too!!! Yes please!
I would so love to agree with you, but I don't think the Broccolis are going to let it get much more angst ridden. That doesn't appeal to the majority of their audience.
In a perfect world, it would be geat if he played Bond, but I'm thinking it ain't gonna work in this one. LOL!
But hey, I'm glad he won the poll. You do good poll, DEZMOND. :D
I'm glad he won the poll too..He would make a great Bond, but like others have said the prefers more "angst" ridden roles...I think he also said once that he prefers to play bad guys..More interesting.
I'm sure he would jump to do a Bond movie if the character was not one-dimensional. I think he would be worried that he would be typecast as Bond for international audiences and then it would be harder for America or the UK to see him as anything other than Bond...
Not a Bond fan, but I would watch Richard in a Bond role. Look at how great he looks in a tux! Let's face it, I'd watch him in any role, even as a dancing banana.
Really though, no more angsty Armitage for me. I'm ready for more smiles and sweetness.
At one of the awards shows..The one where he wore a pinstriped suit..When he was introducing the next award and talking about the "ladies" in contention..The way he said it, he was so sweet and handsome...I can tell he has respect for women which is very sexy.

he looks like he's dressed to visit the Queen at that picture :) Imagine how her knees would shake when she sees him :))

Thanks for the poll Dezz!
@RAFrenzy, um, what does "Broccolis" mean?
Yeah!! part of me would love him to be Bond, although I wouldn't want him to be defined by the role.
The Broccolis are the folks who produce the Bond films...

Thanks for answering my question Violet :) Although, I don't get why they're called Broccolis.
And yes, men who show respect to women, definitely sexy!!!!
@Violet,
Thanks. :)
@TM: they are called Broccolis because that is their family name, nothing to do with vegetables.
@anonymous, their family name? I had no idea that Bond was a product of a family dynasty. Thanks for the info!
