Meet the Thorin Stunt Double in "The Hobbit"

This is Mana Davis-
the other guy playing Thorin in "The Hobbit."
He is Richard Armitage's stunt double.
(And a mighty handsome one, if I do say so myself!)
My RA buddy Deb brought this fellow to my
attention today.
(Thanks, Deb!)  She thinks he
and Richard have matching ears. :)

Mr. Davis has a very
impressive list of past work, including:
Prince Caspian, Underworld, X-Men, King Kong,
Spartacus, and The Lord of the Rings trilogy, among many
other television/films. See more listed HERE, where he is
indeed listed as Richard Armitage's stunt double.

Mana discussing The Lord of the Rings:

Deb sent me a link to an official stunt double web site
with all of his information listed, including this info~

From:
Auckland, New Zealand

Casting Details:
Height: 188cm
Chest: 102cm
Waist: 94cm
Shoe Size: US 12

Stunt Fighting
High Falls – Airbags/Box Rigs/Water
Air Rams
Harness/Wire/Ratchet Work
Weaponry/Swordplay

Ability to make women swoon like Richard Armitage

(I may have added that last one.)

I was going to link this post to that stunt double
website, until I realized it gave his personal info
such as a phone number and email address.
Not wanting to be held responsible for a swooning mob
of women going after him, I have decided to leave out that
link! (Not that we know anyone who obsesses over
handsome actors, right? *cough*)

Click HERE to see Richard's Gisborne stunt double.

I can't wait to see this
Thorin
and his double in action!

I think I remember Richard praising Mana in one of the Comic Con interviews he did. He said he wished Mana could always be his stunt double, because he was so good.

He certainly has the same build as Richard. Nice beard too. :)

He does have the same build as Richard, though younger than Richard, but I guess being a stunt double that does not matter as much..once he is in full costume I am sure you would not notice too much of a difference :)

He's a BIT more muscular and younger, BUT a good fit. On the LOTR Special Edition DVDs, you can see some little interviews w/ him. I believe he used to be an elf!
