SFR goes to Canada.

Stick-Figure Richard, who is British like the real Richard, has decided he wants to see more of the world, so he's going to be doing some traveling.  His first stop: Canada.  Tomorrow is Canada Day (yay for learning about other countries' holidays!) and he didn't want to miss out on the excitement.  (There are several Canadians who follow this blog... so any idea what he should do/see while there, ladies?)  Blogging buddy Phylly saw SFR getting rather festive and shared his picture on her blog. Click HERE to see SFR in Canada and learn something about their history.

If your country has an upcoming holiday that you'd like SFR to experience, please let his travel agent (me) know so that I can book him a ticket to your neck of the woods.

Hi Nat, I am another Canadian who recently started reading your blog. Thank you for making my day interesting...I am a stay at home mom with 2 boys - a 5-year old and a 4-year....need to read blog of RA just to relax for a moment and take a breather.

Well if Stick-Figure Richard wants to come to Canada, he has to visit Montreal because we are hosting our annual Montreal International Jazz Festival which runs in late June/early July. Montreal, Quebec is unique (as the rest of the county is unique) because of its French and English heritage. We may not always see eye to eye, but it is our "little Europe" in North America.

Come visit beautiful province of Quebec. Bonjour et a bien tot.

Best Regards,
Christina P

I love the Mountie Uniform, suits him very well.
He should just hang around in any city he is in. Here in Halifax, Nova Scotia it is always a very relaxed, fun filled day, with lots of happy people milling about and taking in the various performances. While SFR is on the East Coast, he should not miss our great beaches and parks we have all over our Atlantic Provinces!

Happy Canada Day everyone! I'll be missing most of it, packing for moving but we will have a BBQ!

Natalie,

After he's made the rounds, maybe he can go to NY with me in August? I'll take him across the Brooklyn Bridge and we'll see the Statue of Liberty (from a boat since I'm not going through that hassle again), and we can go to Central Park and The Village, maybe a Broadway show, and oh, I can think of all sorts of places I could take him. :D

And naturally we'll make the U.N -- at least stand in front of it. LOL!
