It's like a family reunion, for old RA blogging buddies and
ALL Richard Armitage fans... except without the matching t-shirts
or awkward uncles. (Hopefully. Ya never know- the
Sheriff of Nottingham could show up, so watch out!!!)

It's a time for us to share what our Armi fam has been
up to since last blogging (or commenting) and fill each other in
on our current RA faves and any other new interests.

Life has been strange lately with a global pandemic
affecting all of us in one way or another.
Hopefully this post finds you all healthy and happy and
looking forward to better things ahead. *hugs*

Speaking of strange...
it has been so long since I've blogged,
this site had to verify it was ME trying to log into
my own blog by sending me a code through email AND text.
Is that you, Nat???
The limerick-writer? The stick-figure drawer?
The one who abandoned me to oogle over that damn Scottish
The one who abandoned me to oogle over that damn Scottish
drama series and my dwarf nephew-turned-tricorn hat-wearer?
It is I, dear Richard and fellow Armitage pals!!!
It is I, dear Richard and fellow Armitage pals!!!
For I have never truly left you...
*sentimental music swells in the background*
Um. I lost my train of thought in the midst of all my dramatics.
But speaking of trains...
I don't think a person ever really stops being a
Richard Armitage fan, no matter how active or not they

are on social media. How do I know this?
BECAUSE THIS SCENE ALONE, folks!

I mean, the end.
Go ahead and applause. I'll wait.

As for me, personally, I have been busy the past few years
taking care of my big family (I have a lot of kids. They're awesome!),
traveling with family and friends when I get the chance
(Hawaii, Houston, Phoenix, Yellowstone, Grand Canyon, DC, Austin, Denver),
leading an art program for elementary kids, being a book worm,
and watching ALL the period films I can.
(Still love a good costume drama.)

Richard Armitage favorites in my house:
*North & South, of course!
It's like comfort food. I never get sick of it. Bring on the angst!

*Vicar of Dibley, which I watch every Christmas.
*The Hobbit Series. My oldest boys have watched it so
often over the years, it may have been played more than N&S.
We love Thorin (Richard was perfect for the role!) and

My current RA viewing obsession:
*I just finished Season 1 of Berlin Station this week.
No spoilers, please!!! I know I'm late to the game on this one,
but is has been fun catching up lately.

I have many thoughts on this show
and perhaps I'll write a review about it later.

*My other current Richard fave is HIS INSTAGRAM ACCOUNT.
Love it!!! If you don't follow him, or haven't seen it yet,
click HERE. So cute, funny and a bit dorky.

My favorites are the childhood photo and a glimpse of him
wearing the old Gizzy costumes. He gets us.

New interests over the last few years:
Poldark, Outlander (more the books than the show, but I like both),
Victoria, Vikings, Call the Midwife, Miranda (funniest show ever!),
I also love the movies Brooklyn and A United Kingdom.
I just finished watching the World on Fire series.

I look forward to reading updates about all of you!
I've thought about many of my old RA buddies over the years
and especially recently while revisiting some of Richard's
old work, like Sparkhouse. It led me back to this blog to find out
what my initial thoughts were. This blog is like a journal in a way.
(A rather goofy one.) Thanks for visiting!
Just gonna leave this here because *swoon.*

I've had trouble with my blog as well Nat!!! I think I have my post almost ready - just need to check typos. I still remember you leaving a comment on RA Viewers just after I started blogging in 2009 - I thought I'd be the only one writing about him, but very soon there was a small group of us and from then on the RA blogger numbers increased exponentially. We had some fun in those days!!
OK ... back to my blogpost - I'm procrastinating. Mxx
So fun reading your blog again, always great for a grin on my face. I'm with ya on Call the Midwife and Miranda and have recently also been watching Outlander (though never read the books). Thanks for organizing the reunion!
So glad you organized this, Nat!
The best walk down memory lane this is :-)
Thanks so much for the idea!
You made me chuckle as usual. Thank you for that! I always felt that way. I wanted to thank you for the pleasure of laughing pretty much every time you posted. Glad you didn't let this thing go to the graveyard.
It was so weird when you mentioned this the other day. I had been thinking about you and wondering how you were. It's wonderful to hear from you. Glad you're doing well and love hearing about the family. A lot of kids is good! :D
I've still got one in the house, but it's gonna be hard when she goes. Phew!
What a wonderful idea this was, Nat. When you first posted, I thought it wasn't quite directed at me (because I'm still active), but nevertheless this is brilliant in terms of giving bloggers the opportunity to reconnect. I only overlapped very shortly with some of you guys, unfortunately. It feels as if you were the trailblazers whom I followed. Thankfully, even though many bloggers stopped blogging, at least the blogs remained online, and so stick-figure Richard and other cool fandom milestones have remained visible.
On the subject of RA - glad to hear you are enjoying BS. (No spoilers indeed.) If you happen to get your hands on The Stranger, you might enjoy that even more.
Oh, and I totally get your new interests - Poldark was one of my favourites, too, and if my SO hadn't dropped out, I would've liked to continue with Outlander beyond S2.
Anyway - thank you for organising this blog reunion. I am having so much fun reading up on all of you. Really, this should be an annual event, always on the same date, so that bloggers and fans have a fixed date where they reconnect even if they are otherwise inactive all year.
"World on Fire" was so good! I love the N&S drawing too, that's too funny - and your ... are we calling them memes these days? Pictures with text on them? Glad you've got the kiddos on board by introducing them to The Hobbit. :D
Oh my. I'm so excited to read every bodies blogs. Totally new but loving it.
I haven't been back to your blog page in several years, but I remember when I used to come here several times daily -- and it always played music!!
I totally agree with you, Nat! "I don't think a person ever really stops being a Richard Armitage fan, no matter how active or not they
are on social media".
For that kiss and much, much more. So many good memories! Watching North and South really changed my life. I'll always be grateful to Richard for contributing to that.
And I'm grateful to you for the idea of the RA Blogger Reunion! MG
I remember you being one of the first fellow RA fans I met online. Good times!
I have had fun reading all the blogs too! It feels like a visit with old friends. :)
Thanks! I am glad so many were happy to jump in. I have loved catching up.
*hugs*
Frenz, you have been one of my favorite RA buddies (prob because we cracked each other up) and you still cross my mind from time to time. I hope your family is doing well!
I am glad we overlapped because I do remember you and your creative posts with the pocket shrines. I am so glad you have continued to blog and now carry a big responsibility with RA Net so it wasn't lost. I would be interested in doing a yearly reunion since this has been so fun! :)
I just call my poorly photoshopped images "graphics" but whatever. :D Ha!
Welcome new friend!
The music app thing is still there but doesn't work 90 percent of the time. Today it worked twice when I visited the blog and it was fun to hear Boucher's Theme from N&S and I See Fire from the Hobbit. :)
Thanks for participating, Maria! It was fun to visit your blog again today. Felt like old times!
What a wonderful idea you had, Nat for us to reconnect. I do miss all the fun we had back in the day. Kudos to those who kept it up. It's nice to hear what you've been up to. Interesting that you like Vikings (which I just started watching). You would probably also like "The Last Kingdom". It's on Netflix too. With a very hunky young man playing Uhtred (once voiced by our RA!).
Thank you so much for organising the day, Nat, it has been such fun and nostalgic too. I loved stick Richard!
You’re still the same Nat and that is what matters. It’s via your blog I found Dezzy’s and we are close online pals to this day. I loved Berlin Station not just for Richard but for Berlin. I didn’t mention Outlander on my blog but I did have a SH phase which since has waned. I could wax about Tom Hughes in Victoria, he was great in Dancing on The Edge and a little known Spy series The Game. And I miss David Oakes since his character passed in Victoria 😢I have yet to finish The Stranger, I’ll wait until you start :) and look forward to the second season World on Fire. I hope we get more scenes between Leslie and Sean! Both power house actors their scenes together were my favorite. It did bother me the inaccurate mention of the Polish army only having bikes. That was actual nazi propaganda to ridicule the poles back then. The Hobbit is more loved here by my oldest son and he will also revisit Robin Hood episodes especially the eclipse one when we have one happening 🤣 he’s a Linkin Park because of a Robin Hood fanvid too, fandom can have far reaching effects. I should have remembered this yesterday! Anyway good to hear all is well in your end of the world and thanks for this effort. Did you like how Brooklyn ended because I thought it was a tragic story
Wish I had kept up over the years. Recently had a fit of nostalgia and revisited your delightful blog. So happy to see a quasi-recent post and some familiar names. Hope all is well. – LittleVictories
