Just wanted to say...

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving Nat! We Canadians celebrated last month, mmmm! Turkey! I could eat it much more often!
My daughter who is at Leeds University in the UK right now, tried her best to find some traditional Thanksgiving food there. Well, a turkey for one was out of the question even if she could find it, so roast chicken had to do. She couldn't find any cranberries for cranberry sauce (that surprised me), and saddest of all -- no pumpkin pie! (Apple had to do.) We're not big on Yams in Canada, or that green bean dish has never been a biggie either, but we do love our brussel sprouts (which I think she found). Another thing we like when we have feasts is perogies or sometime cabbage rolls. (And we're not Ukrainian or Polish). The people in the store had absolutely no idea what a perogie was! I thought that was very funny!
So have a great feast, and I hope you don't get too sleepy!
I am thankful for your blog and for all the great people (like you) that I've been introduced to through it!

No pumpkin pie!! Seriously, that stuff is scrumptious. I would probably have withdrawal if I couldn't have some at Thanksgiving. As for turkey, I can take it or leave it, but my family would freak out if I didn't cook one. Speaking of which, I'm in the middle of making traditional cornbread dressing (a decidedly Southern dish). It's pretty labor intensive, so right about now I and the rest of my house smell like celery and onions.

BTW, Nat, I think you could go professional with your drawings. Keep up the good work. You might be surprised at who looks at your stuff.

Yummy bZirk, my momma makes delicious cornbread dressing, wish I could say the same. But this year we have so many relatives down momma decided to have our dinner catered so she could spend time with all the grandchildren and nieces and nephews. I will miss her traditional cooking.

Nat, have a very Happy Thanksgiving....You know we are excited here; one of the few days celebrating us Native eating and laughing all day, we have to get in bed early to be up by 4 am for Black Friday!

I'm from the UK so the family and stuffing my face thing will come at Christmas.
